Responsibilities
• Conducts meal preparation, service, and clean-up in accordance with nutritional guidelines, regulations and prescribed resident diets.
• Communicate with all culinary vendors
• Ensures food service is presented in an attractive, gracious and timely manner
• Do pre-preparation for meals later in the day, week, or weekend or for special events
• Provide a high level of culinary customer service
• Maintain a safe, sanitary, clean, and organized cooking area
Qualifications
• Current ServSafe certificate preferred
• Certificate in food-preparation training preferred
• One (1) year job related experience including food preparation, full-line menu items, and therapeutic diets
• Experience or interest in working with older adults
• Excellent Customer Service
• High school diploma or GED, with reading, comprehension and writing ability at 12th-grade level or higher
